I taught myself to knit just over a year ago from online videos and the Stitch & Bitch book. I'm really just now getting into it though, trying new patterns & techniques. I knit English style which I hear is slow but I can't wrap my brain around holding the yarn with my left hand
I knit the required dozen scarves & washcloths but I won't bore you with photos of all that. I recently found a charity in need of baby hats so I got rather neurotic and knit up a half dozen one week.
This mock cable hat was my favorite, from organic cotton thick/thin yarn.

And a sweet little beenie that needs a proper ribbon.

My first (and only) sweater from a baby weight acrylic.

I figured out the elusive double pointed needles--my first pair of felted slippers (though I couldn't felt them too much or they'd have been to small for my little one). Knit Picks merino & a very fine mystery wool I koolaid dyed last summer.

I knocked out 2 pairs of the slippers in a week and am searching for another pattern to try. Those were from the Knit One Felt Too book.
A adore this sweet little ruffled hat. Bernat's "denim" yarn, a fluffy cotton blend and a free pattern online.

I have a booga bag done too that's just waiting for me to attach the handle.
My new obsession is the Pinwheel blanket here:
PinwheelI have an 8" blanket after an hour's work, not too shabby for a beginner. These ladies are pros, such beautiful work!
OK, enough blah, blah, blah for now. Back to work
